Description

Our hydroponics lab demonstrates an efficient way to grow plants and vegetables. In our mudular and 8th grade class, we set up a hydroponics garden. In our gardens, a system of pipes, pumps, and buckets carry water and nutrients to plants such as basil, kale, lettuce, and strawberries. We used math and engineering to design and build the system.  We used the Arduino as technology to monitor temperature.  The science of biology, botany, and physics were also applied. The hydroponics lab has produced an abundance of crops that have been donated to Lucy's Hearth, a local shelter.
