Description

OVERVIEW

Students have been learning about soil and what types of soils are most beneficial to plants. They then created their own "perfect" soil to grow plants using potting soil, humus, sand, litter and an earthworm, The seeds used were pinto beans, that had been germinating for one week prior to being placed in the soil. The purpose of this experiment is to see which soil composition will grow the tallest bean plant.

PROCEDURE

Students will measure the height (cm) of their bean plant every Monday and Friday and record their data.
