Project #1323 on iSENSEProject.org
Students will evaluate data collected about single family home prices and the amount of taxes on these homes. Students will consider physical locations of these homes as they explore relationships within the data. They will locate the city or town that has the highest median home price. They will also find out where the lowest homes are priced. Students will look at possible relationships between location, home price and tax amount. They will use the data to discover whether or not there are any outliers in the data provided.
Which city or town has the highest median home price?
Which city or town has the lowest median home price?
Why do you think the prices vary in amounts? Give all the reasons you can think of.
Which city or town has the largest tax rate?
Which city or town has the lowest tax rate?
In comparing all of the cities and towns, can you find any outliers in the data?
