Mineral Identification Lesson
4th Grade
In this lesson, students will observe and record physical characteristics of selected minerals and use iSENSE to identify them.
OVERARCHING GOAL
To observe, compare and contrast, and test minerals and use the information to identify them.
Common Core Standard
4.P.2.2 Explain how minerals are identified using tests for the physical properties of hardness, color, luster, cleavage, and streak.
Student Objectives
1. Students will observe, compare and contrast a variety of minerals.
