This project is recommended for use in the Algebra classroom as a compliment to the instruction of probability. This experiment enables the demonstration of experimental data approaching the theoretical probability when a sufficient number of data sets are incorporated.
Procedure:
1. Draw one piece of candy (best done wearing mittens since the candy has slightly different shapes).
2. Tally the type of candy you selected.
3. Replace the candy in the box.
4. Repeat as many times as you want
5. Record the values for each candy type into one dataset.
