Most Populous Countries in the World

The data set contains populations of the ten most populous countries in the world and also tells which continent each country is located.  There is also a category "Other" for all remaining countries and all remaining people.  

1.) Which continent contains the most people in the world?

2.) About how many people live on that continent?

3.) The world population is approximately 7.3 billion people.  What percentage of the world's population do the two most populous countries comprise?  Ten most populous countries?

Questions 4 & 5 require a calculator.

4.) How many times greater is China's population than Japan's?

5.) How many times greater is China's population than the USA's?  (In other words, how many USA populations would it take to equal China's?)
