Project #1630 on iSENSEProject.org
Going to the beach is so relaxing and fun. Its my favorite part of summer. We are so fortunate to be located next to the Atlantic Ocean. Pack a cooler of ice water and lemonade, chicken salad and a fruit cup. Bring your favorite summer reading book and please, don't forget the sunscreen. Going to the beach is fairly inexpensive, it really doesn't cost a lot, except for parking or if you stay overnight. Check out my data on the beautiful map and find out where these gorgeous beaches are and what it would cost you to park or stay overnight.
Extensions to this project: You will have to do more research to find out the cost to stay overnight though. Students can also figure out the longitude and latititude of the places to stay and include those locations on the map to find the visual distance from the beach to the place to stay overnight.
Can you answer some of the questions by looking at the map and the saved visualizations.
