The Rise of the Royals

The purpose of this project is to examine how the Kansas City Royals built their team from a cellar dweller to an eventual World Series Champion over the past 7 years.  Students will examine payroll, wins and attendance over this 7 year period. 

Guiding questions:

Did the team have a steady growth of wins over the past 7 years.  If so by how many wins from their lowest results to their highest results? 

What year did their payroll decrease?  Why might this have occurred?

Is their a pattern of attendance compared to wins?  If so explain the connection.

On what day and month of each year is their yearly wins calculated?
