Description

The purpose of this lab is to determine the effect of mass and speed on kinetic energy.  Data was collected in 2 parts, in 2 separate projects then combined. However, data is still best view using one data set at a time.

The first set of data shows distances when marbles of 3 different sizes are rolled down a ramp that is 50 cm long. The top of the ramp is 20 cm above the table.

The second set using a single size marble and changes the ramp height to either 10 cm, 20 cm, or 30 centimeter.

The goal is to show that the higher the ramp height (position) or the larger the marble (mass), the more energy the marble has.
