Project #3800 on iSENSEProject.org
Cuboctahedron Probability
Students will color, cut out, and assemble a cuboctahedron, which consists of 6 squares and 8 triangles. Before rolling, they will predict the probability of landing with the square side down and the probability of landing with the triangle side down.
Students will roll the cuboctahedron 100 times and record data in the table. Students will then answer questions about their own experimental probability before entering into iSense.
Finally, students will use contributor key to enter their data and then use visualizations to answer questions. Students will focus on comparing the pie chart to the bar graph.
