Description
This dataset shows information about Formula 1 seasons from 2010-2020. Formula 1 (also known as F1) is the highest class of international racing for open-wheel single-seater formula racing cars sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). This dataset will show the name of the Grand Prix, which is where the race took place, the number of laps in the race, and the year of the race. It will then show the winner of that race, the car manufacturer of the racer, and the winners time for the particular race. The data for this dataset comes from a dataset found on Kaggle, named "F1 ALL Race Winners (1950-2021)", and this dataset gives the same information but for every race since 1950. This 2010-2020 dataset narrows down all of these races to the last 10 years of racing. The purpose for narrowing the data down is to help a newer F1 fan learn about the racers that are currently still racing on the grid and see the success that the racers of today have had in the past. I found this dataset to be interesting because I myself am a newer fan of F1 myself and I learned a lot by looking at the data that was presented in the original Kaggle dataset and thought that it would be a nice thing to share with the rest of the iSense community in a condensed fashion.
