Description
This project contains data on a trip from Boston to Lowell and back on Thursday, June 12, 2014. This trip had seven legs:
1) Dorchester to North Station (bike)
2) North Station to Lowell's Gallagher Terminal (commuter rail)
3) Gallagher Terminal to UMass Lowell's Bellegarde Boathouse (bike)
4) Lowell to Chelmsford to Billerica to Bedford (bike)
5) Bedford to Lexington to Arlington (bike - along Minuteman Bike Trail)
6) Arlington to Cambridge (bike)
7) Cambridge to Dorchester (bike)
Position, distance, and velocity data were collected using the iSENSE Android Data Walk app. According to the app data, the total distance traveled was 67.2 miles (25.1 miles by train and 42.3 miles by bike).
