This scatter plot shows the relationship between distance from work and commute time. Quite a few of the commute times are, on average, twenty minutes, regardless of distance from work. This could be from many different factors not taken into account, such as traffic, construction, or time of day. You would assume that the further away you live from your place of employment, the longer your commute time would be. This scatter plot does not show much evidence of that. The commute time seems to be the same whether you are five miles away or twenty.
