China's population growth starts to stagnate around the late 90s as seen in the decreasing slope of the curve due to its implementation of its one child policy. This will have consequences in the future for China as they will start to have an aging population in a couple decades. Recently in 2015, China changed the children limit for adults to two children, so this may change the population growth gradually.
