Japan Population 1980-2010 from Kaggle
As seen in the line, Japan had experienced slowing rates of population growth until 2006, which is when Japan's population started to decrease. This could be due to Japan's economic stagnation starting in the early 90s after its economic miracle, which may contribute to rising costs of raising children, thus resulting people to have less children or no children at all. This shows that Japan is already starting to see its aging population, which will have consequences to the country in the future.
