Project #1366 on iSENSEProject.org
This data is the actual scores of my students gathered from Frontrowed.com. Frontrow is an online math learning tool that reinforces basic math skills. Students are currently working in the first 5 domains, which drill skills through the 6th grade level. (My students are 7th graders). Numbers shown represent what grade level skills they are currently working on. I plan to add scores weekly to track student growth. The link to Frontrow is here:
https://www.frontrowed.com/
Students in the data set are listed by student number (#1-#48) rather than by name to respect student's privacy.
Guiding questions:
1) Group the data by student number. Which student has the highest score, and what is that score? Which student has the lowest score and what is that score?
2) Group the data by gender. Which group has the higher average score, the boys (M) or the girls (F)?
3) Question for teachers, not students: my intervention groups were created based on MCAS scores, with those score W and NI in group A, and those with P or A placed in group B. Grouping the data by intervention group and using the scatter plot (or histogram could also show this info), does the Frontrow data show similar performance by individual students as the MCAS scores?
